Bangladesh is in the fifth position with a score of 80 points in the list of countries which are doing the best in controlling coronavirus. And among the South Asian countries, Bangladesh's position is above all.
This figure appeared in the Nikkei covid-19 Recovery Index published by Japan-based company Nikkei Asia on Thursday. Qatar tops the list of 121 countries in the world. It is followed by the United Arab Emirates, Cambodia and Rwanda. Then the position of Bangladesh.

Among other South Asian nations, Pakistan ranked 23rd, Sri Lanka 31st and India 70th with a score of 62.5. 

The index assesses countries and regions on infection management, vaccine rollouts and social mobility. The higher the ranking, the closer a place is to recovery, characterised by lower infection and death rates, better inoculation coverage, as well as fewer movement restrictions.
